Dustin was mostly outside while his sister was often learning inside. Dustin didn't really enjoy being inside as it was always a mess, he felt better being outside playing with a couple of friends that he knew. There was and still is a basketball court near where Dustin lives so he used to go there to play ball with his childhood friends. Dustin's mother often got mad at him because he would rarely go back inside early, he'd always stay out till late which was dangerous for him because no one would be able to help him if he needs it.
Dustin rarely does anything related to school and didn't enjoy being in school because of all the work he had to do back then. His sister however really enjoyed working and learning, she'd be the one getting good grades and Dustin wouldn't really be bothered by it. Dustin continued to stay in like he used to, he'd always ignore his mother's advice so he wasn't really bothered by the things she said. Dustin noticed that his friends around him were getting more involved in criminal activity such as stealing small amounts of stuff from grocery stores and whatnot. Around the age of 15, Dustin's friend approached him on a Saturday evening and asked him if he'd like to tag a wall around the corner of his house. He was told that no one was brave enough to do it and that's why he approached Dustin since he rarely gets bothered by anything. Dustin peeked around corners and waited for several minutes, he pulled out the spray can from his pocket and started from left to right, spraying black text that began with the letter D. Dustin's friends were looking from a distance as they didn't want to get caught by aiding him in some sort of way. Dustin was tagging the wall for a solid two to three minutes until he saw a cruiser coming towards him from a distance. The cruiser kept getting closer, Dustin froze for a minute before running to his friends as fast as he could. The cruiser stopped and the officers quickly looked at the wall and then to the direction Dustin ran off to. Both the officers parked up to the side and hopped out to inspect the graffiti on the wall. They both had a chat for three minutes afterwards and didn't bother continuing with the incident and drove off afterwards. After that incident with the cops, Dustin decided he'd better off going home so he split up with his friends and told them he'd speak with them tomorrow.
The next day, Dustin goes out again and meets up with a couple of friends around the corner, the exact same place where Dustin tagged the wall. The only thing the group didn't know is that Dustin's mother was planning to go out as well and Dustin's mother never told Dustin that she'd go out so he assumed she'd be at home. As his mother walks out she overhears the situation from yesterday night and gets very frustrated. She decided to go towards Dustin's friends and confront him. His mother questioned him about the situation with a very strict tone prior to looking at the wall that Dustin tagged.

Dustin's mother reached to a point that she couldn't handle Dustin anymore so she decided to kick him out. Dustin thought that that was it for him. He slowly walked down 6th street and went down towards the blue projects west from him. He noticed a group hanging there talking to each other so he tried to get himself involved, the group didn't really mind too much so they let him be around. Dustin got asked by one of the people in the group if he lived by himself or with his family, Dustin replied with: ''I don't live by myself nor do I live with my family''. The guy frowned at him and asked Dustin if he'd like to stay at his place. Dustin was hesitant about it but then accepted the offer afterwards. Weeks and months pass by as Dustin got to know more and more by the day and gets more involved with criminal activity in general.
Dustin got to know a lot of people by their nicknames and he didn't really know their real names nor did he bother asking. He did tasks when he was asked to and got himself more involved with dangerous activity by the day. Eventually, Dustin got caught on by the police due to a home invasion and he was charged for that. Dustin got sentenced for 6 years because he admitted to it which reduced his time.
Dustin's currently being held in San Anne for the Home Invasion charge and while he's in there he's also getting to know more about life; what's right and what's wrong, what he should and should not do in the future. Dustin expects to get out of jail with parole but what is a known fact is that he's going to come out alive.
