A few changes will be implemented this weekend to help streamline the Report Player process on the forums. As many know, a Report Player thread can typically reach up to 10-30+ replies before an admin posts, and it is technically against the forum rules to reply back and forth in these reports. Excessive posts make the report more complicated, more confusing and causes tension between players who post in it. This is not how Report Players should be.
From today, forum users will only be able to CREATE a Report Player thread in the Report Player forum. Nobody can post a reply whilst the report is in the main section. An admin can take or close a Report Player based on the first post, and move it to the "Pending Reports" section where they will begin to handle it if they accept the report. From there, the admin can request players to post their side or answer specific questions. Players should not post without being requested to, as this allows the admin to ask the right questions that they need answered to handle the report properly.
On top of this, you will be required to explain how the rules were broken in a maximum of 250 words. This should be more than enough for you to explain your report briefly as these summaries are meant to be concise and relevant. Failure to abide by this rule will result in your Report Player being locked by an admin. If you post in any Report Player thread, you must state your in-game name in your post to ensure we know who you are.
I will also note that you should not be constantly replying to a Report Player thread and arguing with other players to the extent the thread builds up pages and pages of responses. You should wait for an admin to respond and ask questions or direct the discussion, not discuss amongst yourselves and get heated in a Report Player thread.
- Report Players cannot be replied to unless an admin takes the report.
- If you post on a report player - state your relevant in-game name(s).
- Follow the maximum 250 word count for your report player summary.
- No back-and-forth discussions/bickering in Report Player threads.
Please read the new "Forum Rules" at the top of the Report Player section before posting a new report from today.
