Willowfield, where the scene primarily took place.

While many of you were asleep throughout the night, shots rang out around the Seville neighborhood. At approximately 00:10 on March 6th, the Los Santos Police Department were in foot pursuit of an unknown African American male around the Willowfield dead end, where without notice, a second African American appeared holding a bolt action rifle. The suspect began firing multiple shots at police, at what appeared to be an effort to assist the initial suspect in getting away from police. Police Officers quickly focused on the greater threat and fired back upon the suspect.

Police Officers chased the rifle wielding male from Willowfield Strip Center to the Seville Power Station where the suspect gained an advantage on the officers along a blind corner. One officer, Officer McGee, was unfortunately shot at least once with the high powered bolt action rifle. The bullet pierced through his skin and damaged a vital organ. The organ that was damaged has not been disclosed at this time. The remaining Officers successfully neutralized the threat by firing countless shots to his body. Afterwards, the officers tactically moved up to secure the suspect and his weapon, before finally attending to the down officer. Unfortunately, the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. Officer McGee was rushed to the hospital by his fellow officers and was listed at Critical Condition at County General Hospital.

Residents living around Willowfield have stated the increase in crime within the area, specifically the abundance of Hispanic males and females residing at Willowfield dead end. One resident states he'd like to see an increased police presence around the area to ensure the safety of himself and his family living there. Our hearts go out to the family of Officer McGee and wish for a speedy recovery. We'll provide you with updates as they become available through the newsroom.

Comment: McGee was safe and uninjured, the injured officer was another one! Next time, try to read better the nametags on their uniforms.
