Doesn't allow me to change my crosshair.

Post by Lucas Young » Sat Mar 17, 2018 5:55 pm

I try to change my crosshair and when I go in game it doesn't change, I've tried it several times.
Open TXD > Rockstar Games > Models > hud.txd > sitem16 > import via downloaded crosshair image > save

Try running TXD workshop as an admin and see if that works. If this doesn't work still, what HUD mod do you use?

How do you run it as an administrator? Place it on the desktop and do it from there? if so it doesn't allow me, it says I'm missing gtainterface.dll and liqbish.dll

You extract all the files below that come with the program, in a folder or desktop together in order for it to execute properly, from where you should be able to run it as administrator.

However I don't think this is the case now, are you using GTA IV HUD? If so, you need to edit the hud.txd file in this directory gta folder\GTA_IV_HUD\hud.txd instead of models\hud.txd

The HUD I'm trying to use is from this website, http://www.sebzsamp.com/

He's asking if you've ever installed any other HUD mod. Something resembling GTA V, GTA IV, or the GTA SA mobile version hud, for example. You can also like take a picture of your GTA folder and we'll just be able to tell.

Nothing to worry about there. What about the modloader folder? Right now we're trying to see if you have a mod which might have a bigger priority over the hud.txd you are editing (which is not allowing you to change your crosshair).

Very odd. Make sure you're using this. Extract the archive somewhere, and right click on txdworkshop.exe, run it as administrator.

Go to your GTA folder, models folder, right click on hud.txd. Make sure "read only" is unchecked.

Open it, click on open TXD, go over to the GTA folder that you're playing with, and open the models folder. Select the hud.txd file. Click on the siteM16 texture, select import, and choose your crosshair. After that, save the txd file and close txdworkshop.

That's really how it should work.

Yes, running as an administrator solved it, thank you!
