Insurance Prices!

Post by Marky » Fri Sep 12, 2014 11:22 pm

Reading the main thread put this into perspective.

I know how much you pay might be personal (?) to you, so If that's the case no need to post.

Basically follow this format, it's all about how much you pay for insurance etc.

Make: Ford
Model: Focus
Year: 2003
Engine (1.6L etc): 1.6

Your Age: 18
Location: Teesside, N.E England

Yearly Insurance Price: £1750

--

What I expected for my first car, cheap for a 1.6 too--- I'll be happy as apparently they can halve after the first year. I don't live in the city so that keeps it down, and I live in a fairly good postcode/area.

Make: BMW
Model: E34
Year: 1992
Engine (1.6L etc): 3.5

Your Age: 20
Location: Finland

Yearly Insurance Price: Around 900 euros.

I'd get it cheaper if I just had the traffic insurance or whatever it is called, but I got some extra shit on it as well. I got around 20% off my insurance right now. I think it raises by 5% or 10% a year.

£1,800 on a 1.0 Corsa. Although I can now get insured on a 1.25 Fiesta for £1,700 and my current car for £1,200 because I'm eighteen. Why didn't I wait :?

I'm not sure on the levels of insurance in other countries, but it'd be good to see if people are third party, third party fire & theft, or fully comp.

Make: Ford
Model: Fiesta Zetec
Year: 2001
Engine (1.6L etc): 1.25L

Your Age: 17Y 9M
Location: East Midlands (not a great help, prefer not to say)

Yearly Insurance Price: £1,500. I paid this as a provisional license holder and it didn't change once I passed. Just had to let ol' Churchill know and they changed the policy. Went down from £2,000 as my mum is with Churchill too, she is not on my policy though.

Edit: There's me saying we should state insurance type and I didn't even do it myself. I'm fully comp.

Yearly Insurance Price: Around £1,250. Had my license for a year before getting a car so I dread thinking what I could have been paying from new. Fully-comp too.

Does make a huge difference my mate's girlfriend who's nineteen did the same and only pays £600/£700 a year on a 1.0 corsa it's bollocks.
