The "Motorbike" Thread

Post by Marky » Sat Jan 09, 2016 5:32 am

This might be the 'Cars' section but I'm surprised we haven't had a mega-thread for bikes yet.

Who here rides, what do you ride and what's been your experience with it so far?

Myself, not currently riding but looking to turn my provisional motorbike license into a full one in the next few weeks, just about to start training.

Since I'll be restricted to around under 500cc, I'm thinking of picking this up on finance, thoughts? (I'm only into Supermoto's and sports bikes).

I've ridden a R125 so this should be fairly familiar to me, I loved the R125 and generally love Yamaha's (well made). I could go for an R6 and get it restricted but honestly I think this'll do me for now.

They aren't very popular in the UK (I think they've only just introduced them this year) but I hear they've been in the States for a while and are considered an entry-level bike over there, but then again you guys don't have the 125cc learner restriction.

HP4 is ok but no match for the H2R

H2R isn't legal. No turn signals and much more.

Then why did you say H2**? We weren't classifying MOTOGP ready bikes to read legal

Because he was comparing the S1000RR HP4, a road legal bike. That's why I corrected him with its real rival.

Gotcha. Honestly I feel like is a S1000RR non HP4 can keep up with a ZX-14 it can keep up with a H2

If you haven't already made a move on this I would suggest a SV650s or a MT-07, it has a really nice V-TWIN noise and is A2 license legal.

Want to get myself Yamaha R6 or Suzuki gsxr 600 this summer, but I'm a bit worried because my brain cells stop working sometime and in pull real stupid moves in traffic. Motorcycles does not forgive your mistakes and there is no second chance. Even if you drive nice some one else can hit you.
