Laptop plugged into TV

Post by Maxxy » Wed Jun 13, 2018 12:24 pm

Hello, so recently I have started playing SAMP through my laptop and then I've plugged it into my TV for a better experience, but I've noticed my game colours look quite off putting on my TV compared too what they look like on my laptop. (I prefer the laptop colours more.) What can I do about this? Is it just my resolution?

This is what my game looks like, and in my opinion it is very pixelated compared to my laptop monitor, and I do not like this so I'm wondering if I can fix this, as I enjoy playing on my TV.

the screen of your television is probably too large
how larger the screen how weaker the pixel density
is your screen larger than 27 inches?

It's because you have Anti Aliasing off. I used to have the same problem when I had a laptop.

Yeah my screen is larger than that. Is there anything I can do about the pixel density to strengthen it, but to still be able to play on the large screen, with the same resoultion? Maybe the anti-analising will help?

Go through your TV options, you should have an option where you'll be able to change the transmitting mode to "Gaming/Picture/Sports", try Gaming, I hope you've got a Smart TV otherwise this option will not show up.

I'll give this a try, that should fix my issue correct? If not, is there anything else I'm able to do to fix this?

What resolution is the TV? It doesn't matter how big the screen is, the resolution matters.

If the colors seem a bit off it's probably an older TV, or you can go into your settings and change the picture settings like another user said. At the end of the day they're two different displays, so the colors won't be 100% exactly the same, and it's probably something you'll just have to live with. There's no magical solution that'll make playing using your TV display the exact same as your laptop display.
