Faction Management Update JULY 2018


New Official Faction System

We are introducing a new "point system" for official illegal factions. Every 30 days as an official faction, a faction receives 2 points. These points can be spent on any of the "perks" listed below in this post. Each faction is therefore unique, and chooses their own path/expansion. If a faction receives a strike then they may lose some of their points for the upcoming month. FMC may also deny a perk request with valid reason.

When an illegal faction becomes official, they will start off with a restricted weapon warehouse that provides 300 weapon products (1 gun = 1 product) a month. New factions are not allowed to purchase any M4s, AKs or Sniper Rifles until they are unlocked using the point system. Warehouses will now be held by the property account, which means you may have up to four people hired to any one weapon warehouse from a faction, compared to the limitation of three before. This will allow players to hold a business of their own, which has been an issue in the past.

The perks for the new point system can be found below:
  • 1 Point: 50 extra weapon products each month — can be claimed maximum 6 times (for 600 base products/month).
    1 Point: Faction business — can be claimed maximum 4 times for any given faction (exceptions may be given).
    1 Point: Faction complex — can be claimed once (you receive a faction complex upon gaining official status).
    1 Point: Increase drug strength by 10 for one type of drug — (max 90 strength).
    1 Point/2 Points: Claiming turf — the amount of points this costs depends on the nature of the turf request.
    2 Points: Faction chop shop — have a chop shop created for your faction at any chosen location.
    2 Points: Custom skin modifications — can be claimed once, to a limitation of 8 possible faction skins.
    2 Points: 25 M4/AK/sniper rifles each month — can be claimed maximum 4 times (for +100 products used for M4/AK/Snipers).
    2 Points: An extra 5 ounces of drugs bi-weekly — can be claimed maximum 3 times (stacks to 25 ounces bi-weekly, see below).
    2 Points: Add a third type of drug (5 ounces) to your supply — can be claimed once (see below).

Drugs

We have re-worked the drug distribution scheme to further assist in improving relations between factions, and have adjusted the system to promote specialization in a specific drug instead of making all drugs available to everybody. This would mean that factions may become dependent on other factions to source a certain drug, to encourage a more varied illegal drug market through factions.

This also comes with lower amounts of drugs available from the get go and a more streamlined system for factions to follow that lacks the confusion the previous one had. Every faction is encouraged to have their niche drug so that they can develop and roleplay around it properly with the right amount of research rather than be overwhelmed with having every type of drug available to them.

On top of that, we are going to be allowing some unofficial factions and/or solo role-players to role-play manufacturing some drugs that are more commonly found outside of large organizations. This will promote types of groups like meth rings, small time marijuana dealers, etc. This also allows people to brand their drugs, as a specific drug with a specific strength is usually going to be unique per faction.
  • Official Factions:
    • Start with 10 ounces every two weeks at 60 strength.
    • Start with selecting two different drugs.
    • Able to request an ounce of weed, regardless of selection.
    • Able to replace some of the existing ounces with ounces of weed.
    • Able to pick from the entire pool of available drugs.
    Spending points into drugs as an Official Faction:
    • Strength caps at 90.
    • Ounces cap at 25.
    • Able to spend 1 point to get 10 extra strength in one of the selected drugs.
    • Able to spend 1 point to get 5 extra ounces of a selected drug.
    • Able to spend 2 points to get a third type of drug. This comes with 5 ounces of the drug. Single use.
    Solo players/unofficial factions:
    • Starts with 4 ounces every two weeks at 30 strength.
    • Starts with selecting one drug.
    • Able to pick cannabis, xanax, MDMA, ketamine, oxycodone and methamphetamine.

New Official Faction

We are rewarding official status to another faction that has shown their capability to push through tough times and constantly improve. With that being said, congratulations to Zetas Vieja Escuela. We hope you guys use this opportunity to enjoy yourselves and provide roleplay for both yourselves and the server. Your faction also marks the first official after our new systems were put in place, which is something to be proud of.


Conclusion

We hope this update takes the markets in a better direction and we will be actively monitoring all the new systems implemented and adjust and tweak them as we go. They are still a work in progress. Do keep in mind that things are always subject to change depending on the impact of the schemes and the point economy shifts. Spot on update. Loving the points system, means that official factions should still push to strive once official instead of stagnating.

Zetas surely deserve the status, the perk system seems nice too, good thing there's already a revamp of drugs, I just think it needs to be done on individual basis -- large unofficial gangs will get their products sold too quick.
